What Showfest is and how to find your way around.
Showfest is a directory for craft fairs, farmers markets, art markets, food-truck rallies, and seasonal festivals. Shoppers discover events nearby, vendors scout booths, and promoters fill their lineup — all with honest reviews from the people who were actually there.
Three audiences: shoppers looking for a weekend, vendors looking for a booth, and promoters running events. The site adapts to each — use the Shoppers / Vendors toggle in the nav to switch views.
Free for shoppers — browse events, read reviews, view shop pages, read the community feed, and see map pins at no cost. A $4.99/month Membership unlocks vendor storefronts, promoter tools, full interactive maps, posting in the community, and following shops + events. Every account starts with a 30-day free trial. See the Pricing page for details.
We start in the Southeast US and grow state by state. The feed defaults to your state, but Nearby and Everywhere tabs let you see what's happening outside your region.
Signing up, profile types, and verification.
No. You can read events, reviews, shops, and the community feed without signing in. An account is required to post, review, apply to events, follow, or save.
Shopper (default), Vendor, and Promoter. You can switch a shopper account into a vendor or promoter account later — no need to create separate logins.
Verification happens in stages: email (automatic), phone (optional, adds a badge), and identity (reserved for promoters running paid events). Higher verification surfaces your posts and reviews more prominently.
Yes. Head to Account → Profile. Handles can be changed up to twice per year; display names anytime.
Email admin@oneoverland.com from the address on your account. We hard-delete profile + personal data within 7 days; reviews are anonymized rather than removed so event history stays intact.
Listing events, approvals, edits, and cancellations.
Sign in, then go to Submit. The 4-step wizard collects basics, venue, vendor info, and a review. Listings are moderated before going live — usually within 24 hours on weekdays.
Common reasons: duplicate of an existing listing, missing venue address, or a link that doesn't resolve. Moderators leave a note on rejection — check your email and the Account → Submissions page.
Yes, from your Promoter dashboard. Date, venue, and fee changes are logged so vendors who applied can see what changed.
Mark it cancelled from your dashboard. Applied vendors get an email, the event shows a cancelled banner, and it stays visible for historical review context but is excluded from Discover.
Yes. Choose Recurring in the wizard and set the cadence. Each instance is searchable but they share one page, reviews, and application flow.
Writing reviews, sub-dimension ratings, and responses.
Anyone with a verified Showfest account who attended. Vendor reviews require you to have marked the event as attended (we trust self-report but flag anomalies).
Alongside overall stars, we capture five signals: foot traffic, load-in, organization, sales vs fee, and promoter communication. These give promoters actionable feedback and give shoppers/vendors a richer signal than a single star count.
Yes. Promoters get one public response per review, shown inline. Responses are moderated to the same standard as reviews.
Edit within 30 days. After that, contact us to amend factual errors. We do not remove reviews for being negative.
Rate limits, verification tiers, pattern detection, and manual moderation on reports. Reviews from brand-new accounts are held for review before publishing.
Applying to events, booth fees, and storefronts.
On any event page with vendor slots, click Apply. You submit your shop profile + a short message. Promoters review and accept in their dashboard.
Not yet. Today, application acceptance triggers an email with the promoter's payment link or instructions. Native checkout is on the roadmap.
Your public shop page: photos, product categories, upcoming events you're attending, and reviews written about you. Shoppers can follow it to get notified where you'll be next.
Not a marketplace — we link to your existing site, Etsy, or Instagram. Showfest focuses on the discovery-to-booth side.
Managing applications, boosting, and analytics.
You see all applicants in your dashboard with their shop profile, prior event history, and review scores. Accept, waitlist, or decline with one click — applicants get notified.
A paid placement that pins your event to the top of Discover for a chosen region and timeframe. Priced per day, per region. Full pricing on the Boost page.
Yes — views, follows, application conversion, and (post-event) review scores. Premium analytics include traffic sources and demographic rollups.
Yes. Search vendor profiles and send an invitation. They receive it in their inbox and can accept/decline in one click.
Posting, tagging, and moderation.
A regional feed where vendors, promoters, and shoppers share photos, questions, and updates. Posts can tag a specific event, shop, or vendor to give them context.
While composing a post, search for an event/shop/vendor and attach it. The post then shows a small card for the tagged entity and appears on that entity's page.
We show a small badge next to authors: New (joined under 30 days), Active (6+ posts), or Regular (20+ posts). It is purely a tenure signal, not an endorsement.
Yes — the ✕ menu on your own post. Comments you authored can be deleted the same way.
Use the flag icon on any post. Reports route to admins with a 30-minute SLA during business hours.
What costs what, and how billing works.
Shoppers and casual browsers are free. A $4.99/month Membership unlocks vendor storefronts, promoter tools, posting in the community, and full interactive maps. Every new account gets 30 days of Member access free.
Everything beyond passive browsing: create a vendor storefront, apply to events, run events as a promoter, post and comment in the community, and use the interactive map (pin click-through, filtering, directions). See the Pricing page for the full list.
You get full Member access for 30 days with no card required to start. If you don't subscribe by day 31, any vendor storefront or promoter event you created during the trial is hidden until you join — nothing is deleted, and reactivating restores everything instantly.
Yes, from Account → Billing. You keep Member access through the end of the billing period; after that your vendor/promoter content is hidden until you resubscribe.
No. Booth fees flow directly between vendor and promoter. If we add native checkout later, the fee will be transparent and opt-in.
Boost is an optional paid placement promoters can buy to pin an event to the top of Discover for a chosen region and timeframe. It is priced per day, per region, and is billed separately from Membership.
Membership: cancel anytime; we do not prorate partial months. Boost: prorated on cancellation. For anything else, email admin@oneoverland.com.
